About JPYS

Jamaica Plain Youth Soccer provides a safe and sporting atmosphere for the youth of Jamaica Plain, Roslindale, Roxbury and surrounding Boston neighborhoods to have fun while learning and participating in the game of soccer. The success of JPYS depends upon the collective efforts and cooperation of ALL participants. The JPYS programs include:

The U8 Academy

The Academy provides young soccer players (Grades 1 - 2) the opportunity to develop their skills while having fun under the guidance of professional and volunteer soccer coaches. The U8 Academy (Grades 1 - 2) and the U10 Academy (Grades 3 - 4) promote technical skill development and the beginnings of competitive soccer. Players in the U10 Academy can also opt to play on a travel team starting in 3rd grade.

More About the U8 Academy

U10 Campeones

U10 Campeones provides a continuation of the Academy developmental experience plus games on the weekend with our in-house league. All Grade 3 and 4 children practice together two nights a week and all 3rd graders and 4th graders who opt not to participate in the Travel program can play on a Campeones team for games on the weekend. Campeones introduces children to the soccer game format, including goalkeepers and referees. All games are local.

Travel Teams (Grades 4 and above)

For players from school grades 4 to 12. Players are assigned to teams according to gender, age, and ability and play games against other towns in the Boston Area Youth Soccer (BAYS) league. For questions about the Girls Travel Program, contact the Girls Travel Director, Jon Rudzinski, and for questions about the Boys Travel Program, contact the Boys Travel Director, Jerry DeMaio.

Code of Conduct

To ensure all children get the best experience from playing in our programs, we require that all soccer players, regardless of age, adhere to the JPYS Code of Conduct.
