Jamaica Plain Youth Soccer

Jamaica Plain Youth Soccer is a community soccer program for youth players in Boston, Massachusetts, with the goal to provide a safe and positive environment in which to develop passionate and skilled soccer players. We offer Fall and Spring programs in our Academy (Grades 1 & 2), our in-house Campeones League (Grades 3 & 4), and our travel teams (Grades 4 - 12).

We are based in the Boston neighborhood of Jamaica Plain, but we accept any players who reside in the City of Boston. Most of our players live in JP, Roslindale, and Roxbury, but many come from other neighborhoods including Hyde Park, Dorchester, Allston-Brighton, West Roxbury, and Mattapan.

Spring 2023 Season Registration

Registration is open for all Spring 2023 JPYS Programs.  Please note that some programs have time deadlines, and some programs have registration caps. If you register after the deadline, or after the cap has been reached, you may be put on a waitlist.  Questions can be addressed to registration@jpyouthsoccer.org

JPYS Academy: Grades 1-2 (Wait list)

The JPYS Academy is a program for players in Grades 1-2. Players are currently being sent to the wait list. If you are interested in the JPYS Academy, we still encourage you to register, because we often move players off of the wait list near the beginning of the season.

More information about the Academy is available here. Questions can be directed to academy@jpyouthsoccer.org

Campeones League: Grades 3-4

The Campeones League is an in-house league for players in Grades 3-4, with all practices and games taking place in JP. There is an enrollment cap on this program. If you register after the cap has been reached, you may be placed on a waitlist.

Note for 4th graders: JPYS 4th Graders have the option to play in the Campeones League or on a Travel Team. 4th graders should play Travel if they are looking for a more competitive game experience and the opportunity to play teams from other towns around Greater Boston. 4th graders should play in the Campeones League if they prefer a less competitive game experience where they will not have to travel outside of JP for matches.

More information about Campeones is available here. Questions can be directed to campeones@jpyouthsoccer.org

Travel Teams: Grades 4-8 (Late registration)

The deadline for regular Grade 4-8 Travel registration has passed. You may still register late, but you are not guaranteed a spot on a travel team. There are still a few openings for players in the following age groups: Girls Grade 4, Boys Grade 4, Girls Grade 5, Boys Grade 5, and Boys Grade 7/8. Other age/gender groups are full and players registering late are being sent to the wait list.

If you are interested in "practice only" status (which allows a player to practice with a travel team during the week, but not play weekend games), please sign up for the waitlist, and contact the appropriate travel director for more information.

More information about JPYS Travel Teams is available here.  Questions can be directed to boystravel@jpyouthsoccer.org or girlstravel@jpyouthsoccer.org as appropriate.

Travel Teams: Grades 9-12 + 1 year postgraduate

The deadline for Grade9-12+PG Travel registration is March 19, 2023.  It is extremely important to register by the deadline, because JPYS has to make a number of decisions based on an accurate count of how many players we will have participating.  If you register after the deadline you are NOT GUARANTEED A SPOT on a travel team.

Players in grades 9-12, plus one year post-graduate (born after 1/1/2003), may play on JPYS Travel Teams that participate in the BAYS league.  Depending on registration and interest, JPYS may field teams that compete in 11v11 (grade 9-12+postgrad), 11v11 (grade 9-10 only - this is a change from last year), or recreational 7v7 (grade 9-12).

More information about JPYS Travel Teams is available here.  Questions can be directed to boystravel@jpyouthsoccer.org or girlstravel@jpyouthsoccer.org as appropriate.

Congratulations Spring 22 Grade 4 Dynamo!

Congratulations to the Spring 2022 Grade 4 Boys Dynamo, coached by Josh Raisler Cohn, Roman Dvoskin, and Nick Menzies, for being named an honorable mention for the BAYS League Spring 2022 Sportsmanship award. The Dynamo were one of only 5 teams out of over 1300 teams last season that were recognized. The Dynamo truly embody the JPYS philosophy of providing a positive environment in which to develop skilled and passionate soccer players.  Great job, Dynamo!
